The CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) is a high-level exam validating your capacity to navigate in English through complex academic and professional situations.
This diploma certifies a strong knowledge of the English language, which you will need to succeed in your studies and work. This exam is proof of an advanced level in English.
It is a milestone in your English learning pathway, between the First Certificate (B2) and the Proficiency (C2).
The CAE is equivalent to the C1 level of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Exam format
– Reading and Use of English: 1h20
– Writing: 1h30
– Listening: 40 mn
– Speaking: about 15 minutes
