The FCE (First Certificate in English) is the most famous Cambridge exam but also the most demanded certificate in the business world. Passing this exam means you are proficient in everyday written and spoken English for business and studies. It certifies you can live autonomously and study in an English speaking country, and that you can work in English in various situations.
The FCE is equivalent to the B2 level of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). It is a milestone in your English learning pathway, between the Cambridge English Preliminary (B1) and the Cambridge English Advanced (C1).
Exam format
– Reading and Use of English: 1h15
– Writing : 1h20
– Listening: 40 minutes
– Speaking: about 15 minutes
